Picture the Far Side Cartoon with Bob's Assorted Rodent truck crashing into one from Al's Small Flightless Birds.

As well as digging around the net for seasonal songs, Christmas movies have been a theme of late. I bought the remastered edition of Holiday Inn with Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire as well as a copy of Christmas in Connecticut with Barbara Stanwyck which coincidentally is also featured on TCM this Christmas Eve as one of Robert Osbourne's overlooked holiday films. We also dug out another favorite, White Christmas. Still yet to watch is The Ref and It's A Wonderful Life. What else? The orginal version of The Bishop's Wife with Cary Grant and of course TNT will not let us miss A Christmas Story.

That Farside was a great one. IMHO The Farside was the best comic ever. How long ago did that one come out and today it's still kind of funny just thinking about it?
My personal fave is the one with a spider in it's web with a long strand of silk hanging from his rear and there's this other spider with a bag over his head asking him "Bob did I scare you or what?" Genious.

Once last year, I tried to watch Meet Me in St Louis in order to get all geared up for the holidays. The copy Netflix gave me had this long dialogue at the beginning by an obviously drug addled Liza about her parents and I couldn't fast forward through it and she just kept slurring on and on. I should have watched it at halloween, because it scared the hell out of me.

Maybe this year, I'll stick with White Christmas of the The Bishop's Wife instead.
